Qataris are very proud of their ultra-modern capital, Doha but their hearts remain tied to the desert. With this tour you will discover the breathtaking landscape of the Qatar desert which is home to a rare natural phenomenon: the “Inland Sea” of Khor al-Adaid. An experienced English speaking driver will take you to the Mesaieed area in a 4X4 jeep (45 minute journey). Before venturing into the desert, you will have the opportunity to ride a real camel and take a selfie with a falcon (for an additional fee). You will therefore be ready for the exciting experience of Dune Bashing in a jeep hurtling over the dunes, an adrenaline-filled activity (you can choose the desired speed). Our drivers are experienced and undergo extensive training courses to obtain the license to carry out this activity safely. There will be a stop at the top of a dune to let you experience the thrill of sandboarding (surfing on the sand). Finally, you will arrive at the “Inland Sea” of Khor al-Adaid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This sea in the middle of the desert is located on the border with Saudi Arabia. You will be enchanted by the spectacular view of Khor al-Udaid: turquoise waters that blend with golden sand. Before returning to the ship there is a stop at Souq Waqif, the oldest open-air market in Qatar. Here you can immerse yourself in the maze of alleys and shops offering typical products, make a short stop at the Falcon Souq and the camels to take a memorable selfie before returning home. The souk tour is self-guided and the driver will wait for you at the designated meeting point.
